Resumen del argumento:
La serie, una antología de suspenso y terror al estilo de la serie Master of Horror de la cadena por cable Showtime (de la cual provienen algunos de los productores). Son 13 episodios contarán con diferentes directores entre los que destacan Stuart Gordon (Re-Animator), Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II), Ronny Yu (Freddy vs. Jason), Mary Harron (American Psycho), John Landis, Ernest Dickerson (The Wire, Héroes) o Brad Anderson (The Machinist).
Entre los actores que se han incorporadoa la serie están Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) y Shiri Appleby que interpretan a una joven pareja que encuentra la casa perfecta en una vecindad perfecta... solo porque sus vecinos se aseguran, por cualquier medio posible, de que todo permanezca... perfecto; Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men) que da vida a a policía novata debe pasar su primera noche en la comisaría vigilando a un asesino en serie llamado "Eater"; y Eric Roberts (Héroes) y Cynthia Watros (Lost) que protagonizarán un episodio que cuenta la historia de un detective privado que se enfrenta a los demonios de su pasado en una casa embrujada.
Dan Knauf (Supernatural), Steve Niles (30 Days of Night) y Victor Salva (Jeepers Creepers), forman parte del equipo creativo de Fear Itself, y se encargarán de los guiones de algunos de los episodios de la serie.
Los veteranos Keith Addis y Andrew Deane (Masters of Horror) son los productores ejecutivos de la serie.
